About Lawnie
Lawnie Wallace was born in Stouffville, Ontario Canada. At the tender age of seven Lawnie began performing and writing songs. The concert promoter for the tornado victims in Barrie approached Lawnie to be on the concert after hearing her perform. This landed Lawnie high profile venues.
Lawnie was well on her way to performing with well known artists such as Eddie Rabbit, Waylon Jennings, Marty Haggard, Billy Ray Cyrus, Faith Hill, Tanya Tucker just to name a few. At the age of fifteen Lawnie signed a publishing deal with TMP Publishing, and an artist development deal with Warner Chappell. Relocated to Nashville she began co-writing with some of Nashville’s best.
Before the age of seventeen Lawnie had signed a major record deal with MCA Records. This took her on a major cross Canada tour to promote her CD “Thought I Was Dreaming” which charted in the top ten. At this point Lawnie really thought she was dreaming.
After coming off the road Lawnie took a significant break from the stage and the music industry. Lawnie had the privilege of securing a position working with students wanting to get into the Radio and TV business. Lawnie was always writing and experimenting with new sounds and honing her craft. This led her to write and produce her new CD “The Lost Years.” Ten Years later she’s back with a brilliant collection of twelve songs that take you on a personal level of fun, sadness, frustration, and raw human emotion.
Lawnie is back performing and entertaining “Organic Country Rock” live with her band “The Chosen Ones”. Lawnie’s live shows have to be seen to be believed.
Coming in 2017
